Gems On Display At FairgroundsBy Rajesh Kumar, Section Gemstones
Angels Camp, CA -- Gems, minerals, jewelry and beads will all be on display and for sale this weekend at the Gem and Jewelry Show taking place at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday the fairgrounds will open up to this large annual exhibit put on by the Calaveras Gem and Mineral Society. Dealers will also offer fossils, petrified wood, lapidary supplies and books. There will be demonstrations on how lapidary and jewelry items are made. Admission is $2 and kids under 12 are free.
