Pakistan : Precious stones & jewelry export to reach $1.5bn by 2017By Rajesh Kumar, Section Asia Jewelry News
Reports revealed that currently export of precious stones and jewelry from Pakistan is worth $25 million. The Government is planning to touch $1.5 billion within next ten years.
For this the Planning Commission has granted a permission to set up a gems and jewelry company at a cost of Rs1.40 billion. The company will provide training for jewelry and precious stones making and it would also conduct research on latest technology in this sector.
