Russian delegation to visit ICA Gem Show DubaiBy Rajesh Kumar, Section News
UAE. The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), in collaboration with Jewellery Review Magazine, has announced that an official delegation of Russian buyers will visit the ICA International Gem Show Dubai from 13-15 October 2008.
Alexey Shcherbina, Publisher of Jewellery Review Magazine, agreed to organise a delegation after ICA Executive Director Barbara Wheat recently visited the Golden Ring of Russia Festival, which took place in Kostroma, an area responsible for 40% of Russia's jewelry production. "Sourcing quality coloured gemstones is a priority for Russian jewellery designers and manufacturers. The enthusiastic response to the news of the new ICA Gem Show from many top people in the Russian gem and jewelry industry was an indication that organising a delegation would be a welcome idea," said Alexey Shcherbina, who is also the organiser of the Golden Ring of Russia Festival.
"We are looking forward with great expectations to receiving an official delegation from Russia in Dubai. This will bring additional business potential to our exhibitors as our show constitutes a major arena for buyers in search of quality stones from reliable dealers," commented Wheat.
"ICA has a long-standing relation with Alexey Shcherbina. We will continue to cooperate with one another on future projects," she concluded.
