The Thai Gem and Jewelry Association (TGJTA) has announced it will be promoting its new service, the Online Sourcing Project (OSP), at the upcoming 42nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, September 11-15. OSP is an interactive Internet-based service designed to enable foreign buyers source Thai gems and jewelry in the most effective and convenient way possible.
"The OSP service (www.ospgemsjewelry.com) is a perfect tool for prospective buyers who require a roadmap for navigating the Thai gem and jewelry industry," said Somchai Phornchindarak, CEO of TGJTA's Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair. "The massive size and varied supply of Thai industry is one of our greatest strengths, but it can be overwhelming for visitors. OSP is designed to simplify their job, by enabling them to search for and pinpoint the exact gem and jewelry products that they are interested in sourcing."
OSP is a particularly useful tool for buyers visiting the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair. "Visitors can prepare themselves by selecting the products they wish to see at the show, and then contacting the relevant companies in advance to set up meetings. This not only saves time, but makes a buyer's trip more effective and, ultimately, more profitable," Somchai stated.
However, OSP was not designed only for show visitors, but for all clients of the Thai gem and jewelry industries. "It was developed as part of our program to make Bangkok Asia's undisputed trading hub for gems and jewelry. It can be used at any time, all year round," said Vichai Assarasakorn, the TGJTA's president.
